160 years ago, the bloodiest battle of the Civil War took place at Gettysburg, PA. Over 1000 men from northwestern Pennsylvania fought there on some of the most iconic places of that battlefield: Little Round Top, Culps Hill and the Wheatfield. Civil War historian George Deutsch will discuss the outsized role that troops from the Erie area played during the war and especially focus on their gritty determination during this crucial battle. Stories of individuals who fought there will be highlighted.
